February 2022 President’s Message
I hope that the downslope of the Omicron surge finds you all well, safe, and happy. Although our outings have been on hold, your Board of Directors has been hard at work putting together events for 2022. There should be something for everyone: tours to our favorite wineries, autocross weekends, monthly rallies, an overnight trip to the Ironstone Concours. Other surprises will also be in store. The Ironstone “Weekend at Murphys” will be the first 3-day event for our Region in the last 10 years; registration will be open very soon. Be sure to keep our calendar page bookmarked and check it often!
One thing we will be unable to have is the Run for the Crab, but we all hope that next February will bring us back to the Marin Yacht Club for what has been our most popular annual event. February’s adventure list will start out with a Rally School that includes a short rally to get your juices flowing on February 12th. Registration is open.
As our calendar gels, if you are thinking about how you can volunteer your time, ideas, and enthusiasm, be sure to read our Editor’s column this month about how you can design your own Porsche drive using our free ridewithgps.com club account. We will also have our monthly Board meeting on Tuesday February 22nd at Mary’s Pizza Shack in Novato at 7 PM. Dinner is always on the club – you just pay for your drink (Zoom will also available if you wish to attend remotely). Please see our calendar link at redwoodpca.org for details.
