March 2022 President’s Message

As COVID-related restrictions on gatherings are melting away with what little snow we have had in the Sierras, make sure there are some Porsche Club activities on your radar screen!

This month brings our first-in-my-memory midweek tour out in West Marin and Sonoma, put together by VP Rick Duste for March 16th. Interest was more than we expected and registration has closed, but midweek will undoubtedly be a recurring theme now that yours truly has retired to join the ranks of many other members.

On (Saturday) March 26th, Rallymaster Jim Robison’s Two Lake Rally will be off and running. See his article this month; registration is open.

April brings something for everyone: a tour out for lunch at the Union Hotel Restaurant in Occidental on Saturday April 9th (registration opens soon); a race day operations tour on Saturday April 16th (registration opens soon; see Brad Williams’ article below for details); and a “gimmick rally” featuring Sonoma wine pairing challenges on Saturday April 23rd (registration open soon; see Jim’s article below).

The Board relishes your input! Email us directly or attend our monthly Board meeting on Tuesday March 22nd at Mary’s Pizza Shack in Novato at 7 PM. Dinner is always on the club – you just pay for your drink (Zoom will also available if you wish to attend remotely).
