June 2025 President’s Message

As I write my article this month my thought and prayers are with our Safety Director, Craig Steele. Craig has had some serious health issues over the last week. I know I speak for the entire Board and Region when I say we are happy to hear you are doing better and we all wish you a speedy recovery. Much thanks to Sandy for keeping us advised of you progress in what was an understandably difficult time.

This brings me to the reminder of why I am in PCA – it’s not just the cars it’s the people. I love my car, but I can drive it anytime. PCA is an opportunity to share that with amazing Porsche people. I look forward to every event to see you, my friends and family.

If you have not been to an event, you are truly missing the best part of PCA. Panorama is a great magazine but it’s only by attending events you meet the people that share your passion for Porsche.

We have plenty of upcoming activities. One of my annual favorites is “Porsches on the Plaza” coming up on the 21st. Always a relaxing day of viewing cars and visiting with friends in a beautiful setting.

In addition to our Region activities there are two PCA events coming up. The Porsche Parade is only a few weeks away (July 6-12) in OKC. There are still some openings, but registration will be closing shortly.

Registration is open for Werks Reunion which is August 15th at Monterey Pines Golf Course. This is one of PCA’s premier events of the year and it’s right in our Zone. It is an amazing Concours and Corral of Porsches. Beautiful cars to view and another opportunity to meet the Porsche people that make the club special.

I am looking forward to seeing 1000+ friends and family at the Porsche Parade in just a few weeks. David and I will be sure to write an article on our adventures. That reminds me the July issue could be late as David and I will be in OKC during der Riesenbaum production week. We will return fueled with content.
